About
Laura Hope Milbourne, M.S.
I am a counselor who offers personable, clinically-informed and biblically-based counseling for women and adolescent girls.
I offer a unique blend of a background in professional counseling and a high commitment to the Bible as the framework and content of my counsel.

Education
My education includes a Master of Science in Christian Counseling from Cairn University and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Taylor University. Over the years I have pursued additional training and education to strengthen the theological component of my counseling, including trainings through ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors) and CCEF (Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation). I am currently continuing graduate level education in theology, biblical studies, and biblical counseling at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Experience
My previous experience includes a decade of professional work in the mental health field, including counseling in private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, counseling in the university setting and counseling and assessment in high acuity mental health treatment programs. I have worked with a wide range of clinically diagnosable mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, and trauma related disorders, such as post-traumatic stress disorder. I have a specific passion for walking alongside women and adolescent girls who are struggling with their emotional health.
